Ask a Question
“In regards to the proposed Macarthur Memorial Park cemetery: all cemeteries in Campbelltown are either full or sites pre-purchased. An attractive, landscaped lawn cemetery with manicured lawns, gardens, walkways, picnic areas etc would enrich the area, thus satisfying the need within the municipality for a non-denomination cemetery. This is for the benefit of residents and in the interests of the community, saving the need to travel outside the municipality to bury our loved ones. Having personally viewed the proposed plans and visited the site, councillors should approve the planned cemetery otherwise the State Government may later countenance its use of the area contrary to council’s wishes.”
“The cemetery will provide long-term benefits to the people of Macarthur and also make a significant impact on the shortage of burial space in the greater Sydney area.”
